The Boat House, St Monans

A place to unwind and relax

Situated directly on the waterfront of this pretty harbour village of St Monans, with fantastic views over to North Berwick, the Bass Rock and the Isle of May, the Boat House offers the most luxurious self-catering accommodation, sleeping up to 8 people.

Having recently undergone complete refurbishment, the result is a clean, contemporary, seaside, chic interior with luxury furnishings that perfectly complement the original features of the property.

The Accomodation:

Ground Floor:

Kitchen/Dining room - newly fitted modern kitchen with all mod cons including fridge/freezer, cooker, hob, microwave with combi oven, exceptionally well equipped down to port glasses and a garlic crusher! The dining area enjoys views over the harbour. The large oak dining table with cream leather chairs can comfortably seat 8 people.

Bedroom 1 with en-suite - a beautiful well furnished double bedroom with views across the harbour. Flat screen tv with built-in DVD player. The Love2Sleep Moonlight Deluxe mattress will ensure a good nights sleep.

En-Suite - Shower room consisting of large shower, quality wc and wh basin and heated towel rail. Fully tiled in lovely travertine stone tiles there is underfloor heating to keep your feet warm on cold days!


MID-LEVEL:-

Utility Room - Fitted with a utility sink, washing machine and tumble drier. A cupboard also has iron, ironing board, airer etc.

Garden - A feature of the cottage is the small attractive decked garden area with garden furniture, seating up to 6 people, gas bar-b-que and gas patio heater. The decking is enclosed.


First Floor:-

Living Room - With views overlooking the harbour, this comfortable and stylish living area is equipped with Colour tv., DVD/CD player, Play station 2 and a library of CD`s and DVD`s, books and games, perfect for wet days!

Bedroom 2 - Excellent king sized bedroom with views overlooking the harbour. The room is furnished with a stunning king sized leather bed, deluxe Love2sleep mattress, leather ottomon, large dresser, wardrobe and chair to watch the boats go by. There is also a flat screen TV with built-in DVD player.

Family Bathroom – newly fitted luxury bathroom with Duravit bath, overhead raindance shower, Duravit WC & Washbasin, and heated towel rail. There is also underfloor heating for added luxury and surround speakers for a truly relaxing bath.


Second Floor;:-

Bedroom 3 - Small twin bedroom with more deluxe mattresses. The room has a TV with built in DVD player and toy box. This room is ideal for children.

Bedroom 4 - Excellently presented twin bedroom with further deluxe mattresses, flat screen TV with built in DVD player and lot of extra special finishing touches!





Location:
The shore line of the East Neuk of Fife is dotted with some of the best beaches in Britain. Beautiful golden sandy beaches can be found at the next village in Elie. Here you will also find a water sports centre where you can hire dinghies, go windsurfing or water skiing. The Ship on the beach is great for lunch and a pint!

The property is located on harbour front and is just a minutes stroll from the cottage to the award wining Seafood Restaurant using locally caught produce. There is a also a good local pub serving bar meals together with an excellent mix of local shops for your every day necessities. Enjoy fabulous walking routes via the Fife Coastal Path, running from the Forth Bridges through Aberdour, Kinghorn, Elie, St Monans, Pittenween, Anstruther, Crail, Kingsbarns, St Andrews and onto Newport-on-Tay.

St Monans has a swing park, football pitch, tennis courts and an outdoor swimming pool. The harbour is an interesting spot for watching the boats at work, wildlife and you can also participate in water sports.There are many placed to go and things to do in and around the East Neuk of Fife and something to suit everyone.
